Each filtering bag drowned They are a common undead that appears in the oceans, rivers, swamps or when a zombie drowns. A normal zombie will have to stay under water for 15 seconds. It can come equipped with a pitchfork, a Fishing Pole, or a Nautilus Shell.

Generation
Natural Generation
The Drowned will appear naturally when the light level is below 7 in all variants of the ocean, rivers, and swamp biomes. They appear in the depths of these bodies of water and walk through the depths unlike other creatures. The Drowned have a chance to appear with a trident or fishing pole and occasionally a nautilus shell. They also have a low chance to ride a hen, even after a zombie drowns, creating a drowned chicken rider. They cannot be generated with armor, nor weapons except the trident unlike its counterpart the zombie.

Conversion
If a zombie is in the water continuously (not necessarily sunk) and is not in a ship, in 30 seconds it will begin the process of transformation or conversion to Drowned. When this happens it will begin to shake, similar to the effect of a zombie villager's healing. At this point this process can no longer be stopped and within 15 seconds the zombie will become a drowning. If the zombie is wearing armor, item, tool, or weapon, it will drop when transformed (bedrock version only). Zombie Villagers and Mummified Zombies cannot transform into Drowned.
Reward
The Drowned will drop these items upon death as a reward: 0-2 Rotten Flesh gold ingot (from snapshot 18w11a to 1.16.5) or just one copper ingot (from snapshot 21w05a)
Naturally Generated Equipment
Drowned have a 15% chance to spawn with a Trident and a 2% chance to spawn with a Fishing Pole.
Drowned have an 8.5% chance to reward their naturally generated gear, dropping it with random durability. Each level of Loot will increase the chance by 1 percentage point (11.5% with Loot III).Only in Minecraft Bedrock Edition it is possible for a drowned to drop their equipped trident and a second trident as one of their standard rewards (with 0.2125% chance, 0.285% chance with Plunder I, 0.3675% chance with Plunder II, and 0.46% chance with Plunder III.).
Experience
The Drowned will give 5 experience as a reward when killed by the player or a tamed wolf (or 12 if it is a baby).
Behavior
Drowned have a melee attack, and if spawned with a trident, they will use it as a ranged weapon, even underwater. The Drowned will intentionally stomp on turtle eggs, attack baby turtles, and like zombies, they will hunt down and attack villagers and iron golems. If they are on land, they will look for a nearby water source. Sometimes they will tread the land, but they will quickly return to the water.
During the day, the drowned only swim to attack players who are swimming in the water like them, otherwise they remain on the bottom of the water they are in, ignoring players who are on land or in a boat. This is because the drowned person remains in the water to avoid being burned by sunlight. However, at night, it will be able to swim to the surface and will chase both players and baby turtles, even out of the water, like the usual zombies since they cannot get burned at that time.
